The Tannery Arts Center is dedicated to providing an affordable, accessible and sustainable home for the Arts in Santa Cruz County.

The Tannery Arts Center will be built in three phases. Housing Applications Closed |
|
Housing Applications Closed The application period for residency in the Artspace Tannery Lofts, 1040 River Street, Santa Cruz, CA, closed at 5:00 on November 28th. We received over 400 applications and it looks like all fo the appartments will be filled with artists and their families. With over 400 applications and only 100 units available we anticipate there will be a substantial wait list and we will not reopen the applications for some years to come. Once all of the appartments are filled the review period will close and the remaining applicants will be placed on a wait list for future vacancies. If you applied early and are found eligible and are claiming an "artist preference" you will be contacted for an interview with the Artist Review Pannel. This process should take place over the next couple of months. We still hope to move in sometime around the middle of February. Thank you Thank you for your overwhelming response. With your involvement we are well on our way to building a creative community at the Tannery Arts Center. Thank you also to the John Stewart Company and the Tannery Arts Center Artists Advisory Committee for your hard work in helping people find a place at the Tannery. Finally, thank you to the Santa Cruz City Redevelopment Agency and Artspace for making this all possible. |
