A first-in-the-nation, interdisciplinary & multicultural arts campus that provides an accessible, sustainable, & vibrant Home for the Arts in Santa Cruz County.

The Tannery Arts Center is a project of Artspace Inc. & the City of Santa Cruz Economic Development Department. The eight-acre campus is home to twenty-eight, commercial rate art studios. and one hundred, affordable rate residential apartments. John Stewart Company provides property management for the campus. Arts Council Santa Cruz County provides programming, coordination, and communications for the campus.

Studio tenants include Tannery World Dance & Cultural Center, Radius Gallery, Indexical, Everyone's Music School, Catamaran Literary Reader, Camp Tannery Arts & Printmakers at the Tannery.

An additional two historic buildings on the campus provide homes for Jewel Theatre at the Colligan Theater, and in the Kron House, the North office for Arts Council Santa Cruz County.

The public can participate in classes, summer camps, exhibitions, & events produced by individual studios & visit the working art studios during the monthly First Friday Art Tour 5 pm-10 pm.
