Heejin Lee holds fine art degrees from Daegu Arts University & Hongik University in South Korea & has been practising & teaching art in the United States for over 20 years. A conceptual artist who works across mediums, & practices abstract expressionism in her paintings.
Unlimited Langauge is Heejins first solo mural in America and is a reflection of the color & substance that is present at the Tannery Arts Center, a place Heejin is proud to call home. During the process of creating this mural, she was able to connect with passersby & tenants, reflecting & listening to their experiences of viewing the mural. “I want people to see beauty & feel a sense of connection & belonging when they see the mural”, says Heejin, “to feel like they are welcome & included, and to enjoy & participate in the diverse forms of Art at the Tannery”
